Welcome to the 2016 first edition of the Friday Fry-Up where we look at some of last weeks interesting news articles in the programmatic media landscape.

This week Exchange Wire interviewed ReachMax COO Charlie Wang. Closely aligned with our view and philosophy at REAL Programmatic, Charlie is quick to point the finger at technology partners working on blatantly opaque (non-transparent) margins, marking up inventory costs and on selling inventory. Charlie also outlines that this is not limited to margins on the arbitrage of media but also to the quality of inventory being bought and sold to brands. Read more here.

Google expands beta testing on a new product allowing marketers to serve TV ads in real time in response to TV moments:
Participating marketers will need to pre-plan the content they want to run as part of Google’s new offering. But the product will allow for dynamic insertion in real-time, as the moment is happening or just after it occurred. Read the article here.

BrightRoll exchange is paving the way for Native in Programmatic with Yahoo’s in-house native and native and search marketplace:
From what we can gather, since the consolidation of Yahoo’s programmatic ad tech under the BrightRoll, they are completely committed to providing a much better and more effective advertising experience both for their users and advertisers. Read the article here.
